weeks 4-9

  • Ayla taking full advantage of her pregnancy!
She has been feel well and only difference I can tell in her is that she in more lovable and a little more calmer. Her and Harley are still very much in love and I have not yet seen any change in their relationship.

  • Ayla has been just waiting for the big day, mostly sleeping and a lot calmer than her usual personality.  Harley I think is feeling a little neglected so tomorrow he gets to go to the groomer which is one of his favorite things. All the people up there just fawn all over him, and when they find out that he is going to be a daddy, he will get the top of the line treatment.

Harley at the groomers looking quite spiffy after his bath and brushing. All the people at Groomingdales are just great in taking care of him.  When I was unable to take him, they love him so much that they came to my house and picked him up.  Harley loves his bath and loves the attention he gets from the staff and when he gets home Ayla just goes wild.

  • Pedigree papers
Some one asked about Harley and Aylas Pedigree papers. If I can find a way to show them, or link them up I will but at this time I am unable to do that and I do not think if I copy them from my documents that you would be able to read it.  If anyone has some suggestions besides taking up one page for Harleys and one page for Aylas I am game.  But I will do what I can to get them to anyone who ask.  So Kat send me an email if you are interested in a pup and I will send you a copy of the papers for right now till I get this resolved.  Thanks for the great idea!

Ayla is doing well just eating and sleeping a lot and following me around.  I really think Harley misses the attention that she used to show him.  She still sleeps next to him, but doesn't have that playful ways with him.  He just has to find other ways to find company.

  • Ayla is getting grumpy and follows me from room to room.  I don' t mind that but when she growled and showed her teeth to Harley, I really got on to her.  She did it again, typical malamutes like to push things and again I told her no!  Then she bent over and gave Harley a kiss, unfortunately I did not have my camera,  but Harley is still looking out for her and he just amazes me how gentle and such a good dog he is.  I am sure that anyone who decides to get one of my dogs will have a wonderful and great and always something new in their lives.  That is the beauty of owning an Alaskan Malamute.  But right now Harley has to indulge Ayla with her irritability  for a while but mostly they are still very close and that was the only time I ever saw that in her.  But it was neat the way she made up to him immediately after I scolded her. After Thanksgiving it will be puppy watching time for me so I got to get everything together and I sure hope Ayla as a first time mom doesn't have any problems.  I would be interested to here from people about their dogs first time experience so if you get a chance drop me a line or fill out the guest list.

Harley feeling a little neglected and doesn't know why Ayla is not pestering him anymore I  have been trying to give him some extra attention so he doesn't feel so bad.  But Harley is a very sensitive and he has been my baby for so long, and now Ayla ffollowing me everywhere  this picture tells it all..
